Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  5. Fold in the diced strawberries gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
