Slow Cooker Cajun Shrimp Boil

A delicious and easy recipe for a classic Cajun shrimp boil made in a slow cooker.

  • 2 pounds large shrimp, deveined
  • 1 pound new potatoes
  • 3 ears of corn, cut into halves
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, stirring to combine.
  3. Place the potatoes and corn in the slow cooker, making sure they are submerged in the broth.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
  5. After 4 hours, add the shrimp to the slow cooker and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Once cooked, mix well and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add lemon slices when cooking.
