Philly Cheesesteak Ground Beef Stuffed Peppers

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Stuff each pepper with the beef mixture and place in a baking dish.
  7. Top each stuffed pepper with shredded provolone cheese.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the peppers are tender.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños to the filling.
  • Parmesan cheese can be used as a substitute for provolone.
