  • 1 head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup rice, uncooked

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Add ground turkey and onion, cooking until browned.
  2. In the crockpot, layer half of the chopped cabbage. Add the turkey mixture on top.
  3. Pour half of the tomato sauce over the turkey.
  4. Add the uncooked rice and seasonings, then layer the remaining cabbage and sauce on top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the cabbage is tender and rice is cooked through.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding cheese on top during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
  • Use brown rice for a healthier option, but adjust cooking time accordingly.
