  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix beef broth, onions, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and pepper; pour over the roast.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  4. Remove the meat, shred it, and return it to the slow cooker.
  5. Serve the shredded beef on hoagie rolls, topped with provolone cheese.
