- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pound pasta of choice
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Transfer the onion and garlic to a slow cooker. Add beef, broth, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until beef is tender.
- Shred the beef with two forks and return it to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and serve topped with the beef ragu.
