Savory Breakfast Pop-Tarts

A delicious twist on traditional breakfast pastries, filled with turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chicken ham, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour and salt, then add cold butter.
  3. Gradually add cold water until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles.
  5. Place filling of turkey bacon and chicken ham on half of the rectangles.
  6. Fold and seal the edges, then brush with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños.
  • Can replace turkey bacon with regular bacon if desired.
