Reuben Balls with Spicy Thousand Island Dipping Sauce

A delicious twist on the classic Reuben sandwich, featuring savory meat and cheese balls served with a zesty dipping sauce.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons relish
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. While the balls are baking, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, and hot sauce in a small bowl for the dipping sauce.
  6. Serve Reuben balls warm with the Spicy Thousand Island Dipping Sauce.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the spiciness of the dipping sauce by adding more or less hot sauce.
