  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and eggs. Mix well.
  3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix.
  6. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  7. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
