  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, sugar, and melted butter.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and stir until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of ground ginger.
