- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 5 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 package (12 oz) vanilla wafers
