Low Carb Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

A delicious low carb version of the classic Philly cheesesteak casserole featuring turkey bacon.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper, sauté until softened.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until they are browned.
  4. In a separate pan, cook the ground beef until browned; drain any excess fat.
  5. Combine cooked beef, vegetables, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  6. Stir in cream cheese until well blended.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Arrange turkey bacon on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and bacon is crispy.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add hot sauce to taste.
  • This dish can be meal prepped and stored in the refrigerator.
