  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until the mixture forms a ball.
  4. Roll out the dough and fit it into a tart pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together sugar and flour. Beat in eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined.
  6. Pour the lemon mixture into the baked crust. Bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  7. Let the tart cool before serving. Enjoy!

  • For a sweeter tart, add more sugar to the lemon filling.
