Kung Pao Chicken

A delicious and healthy version of the classic Kung Pao Chicken that you can easily prepare at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until cooked through.
  3. Add bell peppers, garlic, and ginger to the pan and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  4. Pour in hoisin sauce and rice vinegar, stirring to combine.
  5. Add peanuts and cook for another minute before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add chili flakes or Szechuan peppercorns.
  • Serve with steamed rice for a complete meal.
