  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 batch frosting
  • 4–5 candy gravestones

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool completely before frosting them.
  9. Decorate with frosting and add the candy gravestones on top to create a spooky graveyard scene.
