Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into cupcake liners, filling them halfway.
  7. Add a spoonful of caramel sauce to each cupcake, then top with more batter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool, then drizzle with additional caramel sauce and sprinkle with sea salt.
