German Bee Sting Cake

A delicious and traditional dessert that combines a soft, sweet yeast cake with a creamy filling and a nutty caramel topping.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Warm the milk and melt the butter, then add to the dry ingredients with the eggs.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Shape the dough into a cake and place it on a baking sheet.
  5. Prepare the caramel with honey and almonds, then pour it over the dough.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting and filling with whipped cream.
