  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  5. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  8. Allow to cool on pans for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
