Easy Creamy Seafood and Shrimp Chili

A rich and flavorful dish combining seafood and shrimp in a creamy chili sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups seafood stock
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  2. Add bell peppers and cook until tender.
  3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, and paprika.
  4. Pour in the seafood stock and diced tomatoes, bringing to a simmer.
  5. Lower the heat and mix in the cream cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the shrimp and heavy cream, cooking until shrimp is pink and cooked through.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve warm.

Notes

  • This chili can be spiced up by adding red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with cornbread or over rice for a complete meal.
