Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the sugar and butter together until creamy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla, and almond extracts to the sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Cut out shapes using Easter-themed cookie cutters.
  8. Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow cookies to cool completely before decorating with royal icing.
