  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup crispy turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add milk and cream, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
  5. Stir in cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  6. Combine cheese sauce with macaroni in a large bowl, then pour into a greased baking dish.
  7. Top with crumbled turkey bacon and breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
