  • 4 large eggs
  • 100 grams granulated sugar
  • 80 grams all-purpose flour
  • 30 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 50 ml milk
  • 30 grams unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • whipped cream for filling as desired

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until thick and pale.
  3. Fold in the flour and cocoa powder gently.
  4. Add the milk and melted butter, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before rolling.
  8. Spread whipped cream on the cake and carefully roll it up.
  9. Chill in the fridge for an hour before slicing and serving.
