  • 1 cup pastry cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tray with liners.
  2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one by one, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Spoon the batter into the lined cupcake tray, filling each liner about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before filling them with pastry cream.
  8. For the ganache, heat the heavy cream and pour it over the chopped chocolate, stirring until smooth. Add milk for a thinner consistency if desired.
  9. Drizzle the chocolate ganache over the filled cupcakes.

Notes

  • For best results, chill the pastry cream before filling the cupcakes.
