Black Forest Cheesecake Delight

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream until fully combined.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  7. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  8. Top with cherry pie filling and dark chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, let the cheesecake chill overnight.
  • Substitute the cherry filling with raspberries for a different flavor.
